• Ensure the electric system is constructed and maintained in a manner in which provides ongoing reliability. Work closely with others to identify reliability improvements to ensure the improvement of the system as needed. Ensure Equipment repair is complete in a timely manner, communicating work plan with all pertinent parties. Provide excellent emergency response during times of system outages or large scale events. Manage reliability construction projects, ensuring improved reliability and capital investments are identified and constructed as required.

Ensure proper documentation of all maintenance and construction work; ensure proper work management processes are followed, such as planning, scheduling, executing and documenting work. Perform Work Verification of completed maintenance/construction work; ensuring facilities are in compliance with Company Standards.
Productivity and Efficiency
• Ensure employees have sufficient work planned, materials and equipment available. Monitor workgroup's efficiency and ensure effective utilization of resources. Identify and implement improvements to reduce costs and improve productivity.
Customer Satisfaction
• Meet with customers as needed; work closely with customers to make sure they are provided with adequate information.
Safety
• Ensure employees are provided a safe work environment at all times. Provide tools, equipment, knowledge/training and expectations for working safely 100% of the time. Ensure mandated training is completed as required. Ensure root cause investigations are performed on any and all personnel injuries and motor vehicle incidents; identify lessons learned and implement solutions to ensure no further occurrences.
Accomplishments:
This team of employees has become very productive with an emphasis on safety. This team is very effective in work order implementation, completing work on time, scheduling equipment and installing the equipment so that it meets and exceeds the standards that are provided. This team has accomplished zero injuries in 2007 & 2008 and installed over 1 million miles of cable and terminated the equipment safely.
SUPERVISOR – CONSTUCTION OF DISTRIBUTION, TRANSMISSON AND SUBSTATION FACILITIES 1/70 – 4/06

Responsibilities:
Management of day-to-day operations for overhead and under ground employees which included identifying what work needs to be issued and completed. Monitored the budget, performance of contract crews and FPL crews assigned to the service center area. Also assisted in and recommended line personnel for development and training. Guided supervisors and evaluated their performance to ensure the work performed was cost effective and met the service required date set by the customer. This position also required daily promotion and enforcement of all safety practices.

Responsibilities: Removal of Unsafe equipment from FPL property a 3 year Statewide Project
This project was identified by FPL because the equipment posed a safety hazard to both the employee’s and public domain. My role included tracking the budget, allocating the proper personnel to be successful, removing the obstacles and insuring the project was on schedule.
Accomplishments:
The project was budgeted for three years but the project was completed in 18 months and1.6 million dollars under budget.

Operations Supervisor: Distribution & Transmission Facilities (Substation facilities)
Responsibilities:
Supervised and scheduled 11 crews to install and maintain FPL electrical equipment .Also tracked budget and acquired materials and vehicles necessary for the job. Team included 5 engineers and 19 field employees. Monitored performance of contract crews and FPL crews assigned to the service area.
Accomplishments:
This team was assembled for three years and had no injuries and a work load factor far above company trends

Environmental Coordinator
Located, supervised and identified all asbestos on FPL property which was found in manholes and confined spaces
Monitored bird migration habits and supervised their removal if needed from FPL equipment.
Identified all equipment that may have PCB oil, and scheduled its removal and disposal. In case of spill or improper handling trained employees on clean up and disposal procedures
Accomplishments:
All leaking substation equipment and field transformers that contained known
PCB oil was removed.
180 Birds nests were relocated safely
429 locations were identified with asbestos and all locations were cleaned
Asbestos disposed of properly
